Talmont Saint Hilaire
Veillon Beach and Port Bourgenay
Veillon beach is located in the town of Talmont Saint Hilaire, it is a beautiful sandy beach. It consists of a dune almost one kilometer long, the Payré estuary which comes to throw itself into the ocean bypassing this dune.
Not far from Veillon beach, one can observe dinosaur footprints that were detected in 1963. This discovery revealed the existence of many reptiles on the Vendée coast. The coastline near Port Bourgenay contains many fossils and prehistoric footprints.
Port Bourgenay is a marina, which has been awarded the Blue Flag for several years, which rewards its efforts in protecting the environment and the marine environment.
After a day at the beach, take a stroll along the quays where you can enjoy the weekly night market as well as coffee shops.
